LUMUYU Rock Curving was discovered in 1971 by a group of villagers who’re clearing the forest for cultivation. Situated at Kg Bekuku which was about 65km from Tenom; the site was gazetted and taken care by the Sabah State Museum. The story of this rock curving was written on white boards at the site where you can read. The rock was curved in less than 200 years ago.

The road journey from Tenom takes slightly more than one and a half hour; then walk through rubber plantation uphill for about an hour also; you’ll see the site.

The LUMUYU Rock Curving is one of the only of its kind in Sabah though there’s a discovery of another little rock curving in Long Pasia in 1990s; the pattern was not similar.

From the Padas Farmstay; it takes about an hour drive to Kg Bekuku; then walk up to the site to explore more about the Lumuyu Rock Curving and its lagend. With packed picnic lunch and a dip in the nearby stream;it’s just best ideal for a cultural experience of the heritage of the Murut tribe who lived in the hill land areas for centuries.
